On days when I need to relax during lunch and I can’t get outside, I walk around the shop with my camera. Generally I have no clear objective in mind, just grabbing images whenever something catches my eye. I found these chains in our layout room. The inspectors use them to hoist large fixtures onto the inspection tables.

  1. I like it. Some of my favorite shots are from my grandfather’s old workshop, hasn’t been touched in 40 years, lots of stuff like this hanging about. And we were in the workshop of a fort in New York this past summer, that had lots of fascinating stuff too. Always fun to poke around looking for something interesting to shoot.
