Another long day at work so after dinner I drove over to Delta Lake State Park for the sunset. I wasn’t sure how the day would end but I know sometimes the act of going out and trying to capture a picture is all I need. I might not come back home with any “keepers”, but the attempt helps me to feel better.
Being after Labor Day, the park is fairly empty and the beach area especially is devoid of many people. I was really working the sunset for all it was worth… wide-angle lens, macro lens and ended the evening with the telephoto lens. This image was capture with the telephoto lens. A fishing boat had passed by at a fairly good rate creating a nice set of ripples on the otherwise glass-like water. I focused on the reflection of the setting sun and the trees to capture this wonderful abstract image.
I like this. I do this too, sometimes, when I’m at the lake and the sun is setting making the ripples so interesting.
I love the patterns and including the reflections adds another layer. Thanks Dawn!
Exactly what I had imagine from the title alone. A nice, serene ending to the day. I’ll have to try this sometime, rather than just heading straight home after work. It would help to unwind, I’m sure.
Thanks! Always helps me relax.
